About Me

Hi there!
Welcome to my blog. I'm rather new at writing but someone encouraged me to try this out so here I am.

I am a wife and mother of two beautiful women and the grandmother of one gorgeous granddaughter. I spend much of my time in ministry. I love sharing my faith and the great news of the Bible. Lives are changed when people really understand how deeply they are loved by their Creator. It is my privilege to walk alongside some beautiful ladies as we encounter life together and find Jesus in the moments of our days.

My mission is to become more like Christ until the day He takes me home to be with Him. I hope to share my trials, my struggles and also my successes here. Feel free to share with me, too!

January

It's a new year.  I'm struggling through what God wants from me this year.  Do you ever feel so convicted about something that it's all you can think about and then suddenly find yourself neglecting things you used to be so convicted about?

My example:  I have read a few books recently that have shaken me to the core.  My view on "church" has changed significantly.  I'm more passionate about living missionally than ever before.  I can't get enough books on the subject and realize I'm reading more Scripture about taking care of "the least".  Jesus has turned me upside down.

BUT, only a short year ago He had me all about building up women in the faith.  And it just hit me that I'm  not doing the work I started a year ago as diligently.  I'm not checking in with ladies like I should.  I'm not challenging my leaders as I should.  I'm not praying for them like I should.  I'm not spending time with them like I should.  And I feel guilty.

Does God change your heart year to year?  Can I balance my missional thinking with my discipleship of Christians?  These are questions I'm struggling through as I begin 2012.

"For we are God's masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."  Ephesians 2:10

I pray God will help me to discern the good things he has planned for me this year.

How do you feel God is leading you in this season?
